Finger Food 28 - 2 Years....

It has been two years since our last post on this site.  I promise that when I rolled out of bed throwing together a blog post was nowhere near the front of my mind.  But here we are.  Me writing, you reading and ultimately maybe even trolling through the entwined archives.  We haven’t done a super great job of putting out content and to be honest I am not sure what if any podcasts will be published in the future.  McKay has his side projects, we both have kids, and I am still working to wrap up this stinking book.

So why post now?

I just re-watched season one and then wrapped up season two of “End of the F***ing World” on NETFLIX.  I love this show for all of its wonderful character development and what ended up being a truly amazing story line.   It is for mature audiences for obvious reasons and here is the season 1 trailer:

Anyway, in season one, there was a quote which I think I missed the first time I watched the show.

“IT’S STRANGE. A LOT OF THE TIME YOU DON’T REGISTER THE IMPORTANT MOMENTS IN YOUR LIFE AS THEY HAPPEN. YOU ONLY SEE THAT THEY WERE IMPORTANT WHEN YOU LOOK BACK.”

This hit me pretty solid right in the feels.  It got me thinking about my wife, my kids, my job, and a ton of pretty important stuff.  It also got me thinking about this podcast, this website, and even the novel I am struggling to finish.  So, as I sat down at the laptop and searched my files for my 2019 version of the book I am writing, I decided to throw up a post.

Maybe I’ll finish the book.  Maybe I write another entwined.  Maybe I’ll just be a Dad.   One thing I know for sure is that I’ll always keep writing even if its not something that gets shared with the world.    Thanks for listening and #StayTwined.
